More than 317,000 sexually active people in 41 countries around the world answered the questions of the Durex annual survey. (Who better to conduct such an intimate survey?) This planetary and annual survey not only sheds new light on France’s libido level… Other myths have also been busted, such as the one in Sweden where its people make love only 92 times per year, a serious blow if you consider the sulfurous reputation of the beautiful Swedish women. Scandinavians apparently don’t spend as much time in bed as they do in the sauna! Lastly, it should be noted that in Asia, aside from the Japanese, the farther North you go the more frequently people make love (77 times in Indonesia, 87 times in Vietnam and 96 times in China). One wonders what the Eskimos are doing through the long dark winters?
The Durex study also unveils the most popular love making spot. Excluding the bedroom of course, it is the car that takes the lead all countries combined, followed by toilets and the work place… quite a recurring fantasy it would seem. Wounded in their pride, the French will undoubtedly argue that it’s quality that counts, and not quantity.
